Good things grow in Kawartha Lakes. Here, fresh, local food and the do-it-yourself culture is in our roots. With six seasonal farmers' markets throughout the region running generally from May to October, it's easy to find a bounty of locally grown fruits, vegetables, and meats, alongside crafts, baked goods, preserves, and much more.
The beauty of shopping at a farmers' market is not solely in the freshness of the products but in the opportunity to interact with the growers, bakers, craftspeople, and artisans who put heart into their products to bring them straight from their fields and workshops to your shopping basket.
