Explore outdoor family fun in Kawartha Lakes

Nestled on the shores of our beautiful lakes and throughout our towns and villages, you will find family-friendly parks, splash pads and beaches. With so many spots to enjoy, you can keep discovering parks and beaches all summer long. 

Whether you're looking for a grassy beach, a sand and stone strip, or a jumping dock for ultimate swimming fun, you will find it all in Kawartha Lakes. Discover accessible splash pads to keep you cool on hot summer days and find your new favourite park, both big and small.

Check for times and amenities before heading out and make sure to pack your water bottles and sunscreen!

Kawartha Lakes is home to 15 beautiful public beaches and beach parks throughout the region.

Beach testing:

For weekly beach testing results provided by the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit (HKPR) for the beaches in Kawartha Lakes.


Splash Pads in Kawartha Lakes

Our Splash Pads let you cool down while enjoying natural surroundings in a park setting. Splash Pads are free and open to public during regular hours of operation. There are four municipal Splash Pads located throughout Kawartha Lakes:

  • An active sports asphalt trail meanders throughout the park and links to the Kawartha Trans Canada Trail
  • A waterfront paddle sport dock with a tranquil lookout point on the Scugog River
