Municipal Service Centres
Municipal Service Centres ensure the availability of local municipal services throughout communities within the City of Kawartha Lakes.
Services available:
- Municipal water, sewer and tax account inquiries and payments.
- Building permits, dog licenses, marriage licenses (Lindsay), lottery licenses, entrance permits, burial permits, burn permits and Commissioner of Oaths services.
- Photocopying and facsimile services; issuance of duplicate tax receipts.
- General municipal enquiries.
- Green/blue box and composter sales and program information.
- Assistance in completing a variety of municipal and/or other government agency forms and applications.
- Information about municipal processes and procedures - i.e. tax rates, area rating and property assessment.
- Each Service Centre has a Community Bulletin Board for local community groups/organizations to advertise and promote their upcoming events and activities.
- Research and follow up on customer inquiries with other municipal departments. In addition, we provide information services in regard to various programs and initiatives of other municipal departments.
- Council and Committee agendas and an update outlining the decisions made by Council are available at all Service Centres.
- Extended library hours at Bethany, Coboconk and Kirkfield.
