With hundreds of kilometres of trails, Kawartha Lakes offers terrain for cyclists ranging from gentle to challenging. The extensive Victoria Rail Trail Corridor runs through the wetlands and fields of the south to the forests and riverbanks of the north. Mountain bikers will enjoy the Somerville Forest's paths and rolling cottage roads, as well as the picuresque trails of the Ken Reid Conservation Area . The 44km of Trans Canada Trail spanning through Kawartha Lakes offers some of the best off-road opportunities on a fairly flat grade. Test your limits or take the family; whatever you prefer, there's a trail that's just right for you.
